Ets Hayim is the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism's Chumash. Containing all the Torah portions, the Haftarot and significant commentary, this is a well presented and usable book. Although recently criticised by a senior figure within the UCSJ as having only anaemic commentary which had failed to take advantage of the opportunity to make a number of bold and significant points, we think that this book makes a good addition to our reference shelf.
