Here are our ideas of the sort of house that we will need to find to be our
base for the vision.
-
To have enough rooms and overall accomodation, the house will be an
older and larger style of building. It will need a significantly sized
room on the ground floor to hold classes and meetings, and a large
kitchen and dining area that can at the same time accommodate a large
group and be intimate enough to sit and chat across the worktop over a
cup of tea. An important part of the function of the house will be to
enable people to relax over meals and chat around the kitchen space.
-
The house will need office space for the ministry and room for a study
or library. A number of bedrooms and bathrooms will also be required
for the family, with spare rooms for overnight or short-term
accommodation. Secondary accommodation, by way of a separate flat or
building in the grounds, that could allow a second family to join the
ministry, would be a bonus.
-
The position and location of the house are important. The building
must be either adjacent to the university campus, or within a few
minutes walk, so that we are instantly accessible; it should include an
area for parking so that people coming to classes or seminars from a
distance can park without needing to walk far.
Do you know of a suitable house that might be available? Please keep your
eyes open and let us know if you see something that you think would be a
good match for our vision.
